We watched the first episode of Downton Abbey a little while ago because it was highly recommended by several people. But, we couldn't figure out why it is so popular! Our review of it was that it was:
- slow
- plot wasn't too exciting
- slow
- a little boring
- and, slow.
I don't know if it was just me, but in that first episode it seemed like they spent half the time just cleaning or cooking. They were picking on a cripple, which was sad, but not all that exciting. We find out one of the characters is gender confused. That really is all that I remember from that episode. Should we try for episode 2 and see if it gets better? Do you like the show? Why?
I haven't watched it at all, but I have also heard many people recommend it and thought about watching it. This is interesting to hear!
ReplyDeleteIt will DEFINITELY speed up, don't you worry. I watched the first episode and then didn't watch it for a loooong time and then got into it at the end of last semester. Let's just say I'm all caught up. But after this last season finale, I don't even know if I can recommend it anymore.
ReplyDeleteI love this show! It is so good, I started watching it after my two aunts and grandma told me to. It was slow at first, but then I couldn't stop watching it! I have only seen a couple episodes of the 3rd season. But, I would definitely recommend you stick with it! :)
